Birra Menabrea chose Corley Cloud to launch a digital transformation process, integrating AWS cloud computing into its production process. The objective was to integrate a MES mechanism that would allow to connect in real time the different machines of the production line, collecting data, metrics and values in real time to produce specific KPIs
The Menabrea company
Menabrea is the oldest active Italian brewery. Founded in 1846 in the heart of Biella, it operates with continuity today, managing to combine tradition and innovation.

The objective was to integrate a MES mechanism that would allow to connect in real time the different machines of the production line, collecting data, metrics and values in real time to produce specific KPIs.

Corley and Menabrea have reviewed the production process and the infusement, cataloguing the individual production steps and the machines involved. Through an integration process, the individual machines were connected also thanks to the adoption of specific hardware connectors provided by Corley, able to communicate in real time with the AWS cloud. At the same time, specific sensors have been applied through the AWS Monitron service to identify hardware anomalies in the production process in real time.
After this integration and connection phase, thanks to specific tools of AWS, Corley has created a data ingestion and analysis system able to offer Menabrea specific dashboards for the real-time analysis of production performance, of the efficiency and possible anomalies. In this way, the control of production (and its efficiency) has transformed from a manual process often operated late, to one fully managed and above all in real time.
